Fourth Generation Co-Owner
Brian Dugan has grown up in the glass business, with memories of sweeping floors at Westport Glass at age 3 and working the Kansas City Home Show booth with his dad at age 8. From a young age, he was part of the business, not just around it.
A lifelong Kansas City resident, Brian graduated from Rockhurst High School and Northwest Missouri State University before returning home to help at Westport Glass part-time in October 2005 while working in financial services. He joined full-time in February 2006, quickly realizing his passion for the trade.
Working under his father, Bob, Brian learned both the technical side of the business and what it takes to run it successfully — from customer service and operations to measuring, fabricating, and installing glass. Alongside his twin brother and co-owner, Sean, he gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the company, building deep knowledge of day-to-day operations, leadership, and business management. Brian also spearheaded Westport Glass’s membership in the Shower Door Professionals Co-Op, currently the only glass shop in Kansas City that meets the strict vetting and quality standards required to join this national organization.
Known for his perfectionism and attention to detail, Brian works closely with homeowners, contractors, home builders, remodelers, and designers, guiding each project from in-home consultation through completion. He treats every project as if it were his own home, focusing on precision, timelines, and clear communication. His philosophy: measure twice, cut once — and his record speaks for itself.
As co-owner, Brian remains deeply involved in operations and client relationships, continuing the family legacy while applying his years of experience to ensure projects are completed flawlessly. Outside of work, he is a devoted father to three daughters, all competitive basketball players, and actively supports youth athletics in the Kansas City community.
