Shawnee homeowners and builders need a glass partner with deep experience and modern fabrication tools. Westport Glass has served the Kansas City Area since 1947, offering top-tier residential and commercial glass work. Our new showroom sits at 625 Southwest Blvd. It is about 20 minutes from most local neighborhoods. That central spot gives designers and remodelers an easy place to plan projects.
We are the only Shower Door Co-Op member in the region. That means we hold a standard of quality that high-volume shops cannot match. Whether your project is a bathroom remodel or a commercial storefront, our skilled team delivers precise measurements and reliable results. This guide covers our full range of services, from custom mirrors and wine cellars to window glass replacement.
Upgrading a bathroom with a glass shower takes careful planning and the right materials. We offer a wide selection of frameless shower doors, semi-frameless options, and custom framed shower door designs. The layout and glass thickness both play a big role in how your shower holds up over time.
Heavy glass gives a sturdy, high-end feel that resists wear and stays in alignment. The right hardware also keeps your door moving smoothly for years. Our team handles shower glass replacement and new installs that blend right into your tile work.
Safety is our top priority on every job. We only install tempered glass from suppliers with the highest safety ratings. Some competitors save money by running their own tempering furnaces at bare minimum standards, which leads to inconsistent strength.
We stick with glass that meets strict industry rules for durability. Local designers and builders often partner with us because we handle the technical side of glass fabrication with extreme care. Taking measurements after your tile is set helps create a tight fit that prevents leaks and other issues.
Interior glass features can change the lighting and feel of any room. Our decorative and custom mirrors services include custom-cut glass for vanities, gym mirrors, and accent pieces.
We offer many styles, such as beveled mirrors and framed mirrors, to fit your design. Fabrication happens in our local shop, which keeps sizing accurate and finishes clean. Backpainted glass and glass shelves give kitchens and living areas a sleek, modern look.
You can visit our showroom to see antique mirrors and rare glass products in person. Designers often send their clients to our shop to view different glass patterns and thicknesses under expert lighting.
A floor-to-ceiling mirror or custom-framed piece makes a room feel larger and more open. Our team mounts heavy mirrors with care, set tight and fully level. A clean install prevents the warping you see with cheap, mass-produced products.
A custom glass wine cellar makes a stunning focal point in a high-end home. These temperature-controlled enclosures need specialized custom glass wine cellars experts who know how to keep the right environment for your collection. We use insulated glass units and high-quality seals to keep the view clear and the temperature steady.
Our team works closely with builders and designers to fit these enclosures into existing floor plans. This high-skill service draws on our decades of fabrication experience to give you a seamless look.
Visibility is a key part of wine cellar design. We offer clear glass and other premium options for a crystal-clear view of your bottles. The glass partition also has to be strong. It must support its own weight and handle the temperature gap between rooms.
Our team understands the fine points of sealing glass to metal and stone. Building a wine cellar that works as both function and art takes a level of detail. Only a full-service shop can provide it.
Glass panel railings and interior walls add a sleek, modern look to homes and businesses. We design and install interior and exterior railing systems that keep things safe without blocking your view.
Heavy glass walls and office partitions are popular for splitting up space. They keep rooms open and bright. We also offer specialty glass, like privacy glass and rain glass for bathrooms or entryways.
Our specialty work also covers smaller custom items that finish off a room. We make custom-cut cabinet door glass, furniture tops, and glass shelves for both homes and businesses.
Every project gets the same precise measurements and quality fabrication. From bronze glass accents to faucet openings in custom mirrors, we handle the technical work other shops avoid.
Local businesses count on storefront glass to make a strong first impression. Our commercial storefront glass services cover everything from new glass storefronts to repairs.
We install commercial window and door systems built for busy retail and office spaces. Reliability is our priority. We show up when we say we will, so your business keeps running. Our team also handles heavy glass installs and all-glass doors for modern office interiors.
Security and durability matter for commercial property managers. We provide custom glazing and glass office partitions that add privacy without blocking light.
Downtime costs money, so we put commercial clients first with fast response times. Need a quick glass door adjustment or a full curtain wall replacement? We have the team and tools to get it done.
Kansas weather puts a lot of stress on home windows. Over time, seals fail and insulated glass units lose their energy efficiency. That leads to fogging between the panes and higher utility bills.
We offer window glass installation and replacement services that bring back comfort and performance. Replacing just the glass instead of the whole frame saves money while improving insulation. Our service teams handle everything from standard windows to patio door glass repair.
Keeping your home sealed up is key to long-term comfort. We offer glass options designed to reflect heat and protect your interior from UV damage. If you spot moisture or a milky film inside your glass, it is time for a professional check.
Our techs give you a detailed quote so you can make a smart choice about your glass needs. We focus on quick service so your home stays safe from the weather.
Glass tabletops and shelving provide protection and style. We cut glass to size for furniture, shelving, and display applications. Options include polished edges and beveled finishes. Tempered glass is used for durability and safety. Custom glass shelving and tabletops help preserve surfaces while maintaining a clean, modern look.

I interviewed 4 different companies to do my shower. Westport Glass blew away the competition with their professionalism and knowledge. Installation was perfect and prompt. Excellent follow up and customer service to ensure 100% satisfaction. I would highly recommend Westport Glass to anyone!
We have been using Westport Glass as a company for almost 14 years and as an individual I have for over 23 years. Bob Dugan the owner is one of my all time favorite sub contractors in the KC area. Sean his son, has taken care of us for many years nailing detailed measurements and making sure we have the best products and materials for our custom designed projects. We have the luxury of being down the block on Southwest Boulevard for easy walk in service for our project needs. This company will lead you in the right direction for material and fit and finish.
While trying to install new handles on a mirrored chest of drawers, I cracked the fronts of 3 drawers. We tried to find anyone who could fix our problem, but no one seemed interested. When we discovered this store, we took in a drawer with the crack lines. Four different employees came to look at it and together, they came up with a strategy to remedy our problem. They applied beveled mirror on top of the previous glass and we couldn't be happier with the results! In fact, we like the chest better now than its original appearance. It was the willingness to listen to our problem and take an interest in actually helping us. We are VERY GRATEFUL to Westport Glass & Mirror of KC for coming to our aid. We recommend them highly.
