Basehor keeps adding rooftops faster than almost anywhere on this side of the metro. Falcon Lakes and the newer subdivisions along the K-7 corridor have brought larger custom homes, and dozens of builders are working the area right now. Westport Glass has served the Kansas City metro since 1947. We work out of a newly remodeled showroom at 625 Southwest Blvd, about 30 minutes from most Basehor neighborhoods via I-70 and K-7.
We hold a distinction no other glass company in the metro can claim. Westport is the only Shower Door Co-Op member in Kansas City. Our team handles residential and commercial glass alike, from custom showers and mirrors to wine cellars, window replacement, storefronts, and specialty glass, all built for Basehor homeowners, builders, and designers.

A shower is one of the few things in a new house that gets touched every single day, and it shows every shortcut. We build frameless, semi-frameless, and framed enclosures, and we handle shower glass replacement for remodels already underway. Layout, glass thickness, hardware selection, and faucet opening placement all change how the finished shower performs.
Here is the detail that separates shops. We install tempered glass only from suppliers holding the highest safety certifications. Some shops run their own tempering furnaces to bare-minimum standards, and that gap shows up over the life of the glass rather than on install day.
Falcon Lakes and the other K-7 builds are specifying large-format custom enclosures over standard kits, which is where accurate measurement stops being optional. We take measurements after the tile is set so the glass fits the opening you actually have.

Mirror work covers more ground than most people expect. We handle custom-cut mirrors, gym and fitness mirrors, framed and beveled pieces, antique mirrors, and backpainted glass. Each one changes how a room reads, from light bounce to a sense of scale.
Precision is the whole job. Every mirror gets cut to exact size, then set level and tight with the right trim and hardware. Our showroom at 625 Southwest Blvd gives Basehor builders and designers somewhere to send clients for real samples, including low iron glass and backpainted color options, and the run down K-7 keeps it a workable stop inside a build schedule.
Home gyms show up in most of the newer Basehor floor plans, and a properly mounted mirror wall is what makes one genuinely usable rather than decorative. Those panels are heavy, and how they are anchored matters more than what they cost.

Wine cellar work sits at the top of our specialty list. We build custom glass wine cellars, temperature-controlled enclosures, and climate-separated glass systems. Racking, LED lighting, humidity control, and cooling equipment all have to work with the glass rather than against it, and the seal between glass and its surrounding structure is where most cellars succeed or fail.
Basehor's newer builds increasingly include dedicated wine storage as a premium finish, particularly in the Falcon Lakes price tier where homes run from the $400s well past $900,000. Builders working that band are already specifying premium kitchens and finish carpentry, and a glass cellar reads as part of the same decision. Our coordination keeps the finished room working cleanly with the architecture around it.
A cellar goes best when it is planned before framing rather than fitted afterward. The earlier a builder brings us into the drawing, the cleaner the finished opening and the fewer compromises land on the homeowner.

A handful of specialty services round out what we offer. We install glass panel railings, stair railings, interior and exterior railing systems, glass partition walls, and heavy glass walls. We also supply security glazing, privacy glass, etched designs, and pattern glass, along with furniture glass, tabletops, and shelving.
Deck and stair railings come up constantly in the newer Basehor builds, where an open sightline to the yard was part of what sold the house in the first place. A glass panel system keeps that view intact and still meets the load and height requirements a solid rail would.

Basehor's commercial base has grown alongside its rooftops, and the retail and service buildings going up along the K-7 corridor need storefront glass that holds up to daily traffic. We cover storefront glass repair and replacement, commercial glass doors, heavy glass installations, all-glass doors, and custom manufactured glazing.
We also handle commercial mirrors and interior glass partitions for offices, salons, and fitness spaces, which tend to follow retail into a growing suburb within a year or two of the rooftops arriving.

Window glass, insulated glass units, and patio door glass repair all fall under one service umbrella. Kansas summers run hot and humid and winters swing cold, and that seasonal stress wears down glazing seals faster than most homeowners expect.
Failed units turn up most often in Basehor's older homes along Leavenworth Road and around the original town center, where original glazing has had decades to break down. Replacing the glass rather than the entire window preserves the existing frames and costs considerably less. Newer K-7 construction is not immune either, since a failed seal is a manufacturing issue rather than an age issue, and we see it on houses barely out of warranty. Either way the repair is the same and the frame stays where it is.

Glass tabletops and shelving provide protection and style. We cut glass to size for furniture, shelving, and display applications. Options include polished edges and beveled finishes. Tempered glass is used for durability and safety. Custom glass shelving and tabletops help preserve surfaces while maintaining a clean, modern look.

Basehor, Kansas is one of the fastest-growing cities in Leavenworth County, sitting along the K-7 corridor on the northwest edge of the Kansas City metro.
Punctual with pickup and delivery. It was only a one hour window and they did what they said they would do. Excellent customer service. Gave me options on replacement glass for console table. They were knowledgeable about their product and did a beautiful job. So refreshing to have a company with customer service. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend this local company. They also did a new shower door for me years ago - once again, I was thrilled with the door and their service. Go Local and use Westport Glass when you have the opportunity!

This place is awesome and professional! I can't believe after living all these years in Kansas City I found this mirror company. Their prices are much better and the measurements at Westport Glass & Mirror were spot on and wrapped up perfectly. They also cut my mirrors within 3 hours on a busy Saturday when they were short handed. From now on, I won't use anyone else.
