Westport Glass & Mirror has served Kansas City families and businesses since 1947. We’re family owned, and we still take a hands-on approach to every job that leaves our shop. From window repair to custom glass solutions for a full remodel, we always show up with clear communication, meticulous craftsmanship, and customer service that feels personal. If you want a team that respects your space, your timeline, and your budget, you’re in the right place.
Our story starts in Kansas City, where the same family has owned and operated Westport Glass & Mirror from the beginning. Over the years, we’ve handled shower doors, window repair, frameless shower enclosures, glass partition walls, and commercial building glass across the metro, so we know what local projects call for. We’ve watched styles shift from framed showers to frameless design, and we’ve kept our tools and techniques current for Kansas City clients.
That long view shapes our standards today. We keep full glass cutting services in-house, stay sharp on specialty glass, and listen closely to what clients need from their custom glass projects. When a remodel has moving parts, we coordinate with remodeling contractors, keep updates steady, and deliver customer service that stays consistent.
We combine pride in the craft with disciplined shop routines. Our team is trained in glass cutting, layout planning, and professional installation, so the finished work looks right and feels right in daily use for homes and commercial sites.
Before we fabricate, we confirm the details that drive fit and function. That can mean a custom shape cut, clean u channel placement, or a shower screen layout that keeps water where it belongs. We match shower hardware to the design, from hardware finishes and hardware finish details to a brushed nickel handle or stainless steel hardware. For larger installations, we align fixed panels and sliding glass panels so everything reads straight, clean, and intentional.
Homes and businesses call us for different reasons, so we shape service around the setting and the people using it daily. Homeowners reach out for shower doors, a frameless shower upgrade, or a glass shower enclosure that fits the shower space without crowding room. We build custom shower doors, semi-frameless showers, and semi-frameless doors with options for hinged doors, sliding doors, or barn door shower sliders with barn door hardware.
On the commercial side, schedules and access matter. Business owners and builders rely on us for commercial building glass, glass partition walls, glass panel railings, and commercial glass railings that match design and traffic. Across every job, we set expectations early, stay reachable, and keep friendly customer service steady from first call through final walkthrough.
Frank Jr.We were founded in 1947 by Frank Dugan Jr. Our original location was 425 Westport Road. In addition to selling glass we were a distributor of O'Brien's Paint. Frankie's earliest helpers were his dad, Frank Sr. (aka Popeye), and his younger brother, Bob Sr.

Quality starts with materials that perform in real life. We use tempered glass in many safety-focused applications, and we build shower glass systems that feel solid, from fixed panels to frameless shower doors and frameless glass shower layouts that keep lines clean.
Precision comes next. We fabricate shower enclosure components so sliding doors, hinged doors, and sliding glass panels move smoothly and close cleanly. For a bolder look, we can build a grid pattern option or frameless glass wine cellars that still feel refined. Our shop work supports custom glass shower projects, glass enclosures, and specialty glass requests with tight alignment, clean edges, and dependable hardware finishes that match the room.
Westport Glass came recommended to me by a trusted bathroom remodel contractor. I couldn't be happier with the service of Westport Glass of Kansas City. All staff members I came in contact with were not only courteous, but extremely professional. I had been going through a very rough bathroom remodel, and Westport Glass really put the icing on the cake. My custom frameless shower glass is gorgeous. Every time I step in there I feel like I am in a fancy 5 Star hotel, I can't believe it is in my own house! Thank you Westport Glass! Would definitely recommend and use again in the future!
Punctual with pickup and delivery. It was only a one hour window and they did what they said they would do. Excellent customer service. Gave me options on replacement glass for console table. They were knowledgeable about their product and did a beautiful job. So refreshing to have a company with customer service. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend this local company. They also did a new shower door for me years ago - once again, I was thrilled with the door and their service. Go Local and use Westport Glass when you have the opportunity!
While trying to install new handles on a mirrored chest of drawers, I cracked the fronts of 3 drawers. We tried to find anyone who could fix our problem, but no one seemed interested. When we discovered this store, we took in a drawer with the crack lines. Four different employees came to look at it and together, they came up with a strategy to remedy our problem. They applied beveled mirror on top of the previous glass and we couldn't be happier with the results! In fact, we like the chest better now than its original appearance. It was the willingness to listen to our problem and take an interest in actually helping us. We are VERY GRATEFUL to Westport Glass & Mirror of KC for coming to our aid. We recommend them highly.
